EvCollection[a few of Ev’s treasures: his first found shed + grandpa’s Ducks Unlimited mini decoys]

I’m always in need of a good ‘fancier’ tank to throw under the rainbow of cardis I have in my closet, and at $7 a pop (on sale!) I couldn’t pass trying these Old Navy peplum tanks out.

Ever since seeing my coworker in a camouflage anorak jacket the other day, I’ve decided I need one too! Trying to decide if I should splurge or save: Anthropologie vs.  J.C.Penney. Thoughts?

We are supposed to be getting snow this weekend (BOO!) so our plan is to hunker down and put the fireplace to good use. I’m this close to breaking down and buying this personalized plaid (obvi) log carrier from Mark & Graham, because why not?!

Aunt Mo’s house

My sister recently moved into a darling brick house located in Beaverdale. It is right across the street from the Catholic grade school all of us girls attended growing up. #nostalgia
It is also walking distance from some great local joints: Reed’s Hallow, Christopher’s, Back Country Outfitters and Grounds for Celebration – to name a few.

I’ve been helping her find her ‘style’ and I think we’ve settled on mid-century modern meets rustic traditional. HA – if that is even a thing!

The house is in great shape but needed a few cosmetic upgrades. The walls were given a fresh coat of paint (Sherwin-Williams Reflection and Passive) and my dad restained the wood floors in the upstairs bedroom. There is also a little bathroom remodel that should be getting underway any day now.

Now that we have the big pieces figured out, I’m all about adding in eclectic extras. Here are a few finds that are on the ‘wishlist’.

Little looks: St. Patrick’s Day 2017

I’m most definitely not Irish, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like to drink a green beer or do a little jig with the rest of them. That extends to making sure my little guys are sporting their green gear on the 17th. But you know what? It’s totally ok if you feel like pinching Fitzie’s rolls, green or no green, because they are the freaking BEST!

With less than two weeks away from St. Patrick’s day I’ve decided to do a quick round up of all things kelly green + a little glitter/glitz for all your little leprechauns out there!

img_5470[warmer temps = walks outside + new treasures]

Sorry guys, I missed last week’s Friday faves. I blame the sickness that swept through our house over the course of the week: croup, double ear infection and pneumonia. Um, is it spring yet?

One of my most recent sale purchases was this J.Crew panama hat. My hope was that by buying it, I’d will warmer weather to appear. Well, it looks like it worked for a short period of time because the 70+ degree days have come and gone. Snow in the forecast for today 😦

I have been plaid obsessed since forever, so when I saw this chair in black buffalo check from Ballard Designs in the recent issue of HGTV Magazine, I tore that page out so quick and stare at it daily saying “someday you will be mine my pretty.” Creepy, I know.

Speaking of home goods, did you hear the news out of HomeGoods/T.J. Maxx/Marshall’s owner TJX?  They are planning to debut a separate, brand new home store concept this year. Um, yes please.

On a recent trip to Target I found myself in the office supplies aisle and stumbled upon this face ceramic pencil holder. I can’t wait to fill it with flowers as a perfect housewarming gift for my little sis.

Clogged

My love for clogs has developed over the last year. Partially fueled by a bit of nostalgia and thinking they were the cutest things ever when Grace from Camp Patton would wear them, I decided to try them out.

I started with a non-expensive pair from Old Navy and have since graduated to a more expensive (and much more comfortable) pair from TOMS. I hope to some day get a custom pair made from the San Francisco-based Bryr. All the heart eyes!

In the mood to get your clog on? Look no further.

My go-to mom outfit

Oh guys, you know I love me a good fashion blogger OOTD post, but that’s not usually how I roll around these parts. But, for today, I’m going to hit you with one because everyone needs a comfortable/practical go-to outfit – especially us moms!

My goal is to always look somewhat pulled together with minimal amount of effort. Should be easy, but there are days when I can’t think let alone throw together a cohesive look. Enter this easy ‘fit for running errands and hangin’ with the kiddos.

I’ve even helped you out and added my favorite go-to accessories. Depending on if I’ve showered or didn’t get enough sleep (or both!), I always keep a hat, red lipstick and sunglasses handy.

I don’t normally buy nice shoes for myself, but if money wasn’t a factor, I would for sure get myself a pair of M.Gemi Felize loafers. I also really like their Fortuna and Stellato flats in the blush color. In the mood to treat yo self? Get $25 off your first purchase through M.Gemi!

Oh Joy for Target has done it again, and this time it’s for our furry friends. Check out the new line for pets. How cute would Karl be in the striped bowtie collar?

We are enjoying some abnormally warm days lately and it’s making me wish for spring. And while it’s not quite here yet, I’m going to bring a little green into the house this weekend as my sister and I are planning a trip to Harvey’s Greenhouse right down the street from us. Their cacti and succulent collection is EPIC!

Download: Valentine’s Day 2017

I spent the weekend pulling together a few Valentine’s gifts for my boys and treats for family and friends.

Our Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without a heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s. The finest of the fine for my crew 😉

heartpizza

Cupid treated me quite well this year. And while my husband did get me a gift card to one of my favorite local stores (eden!), cupid was pretty much me. And you know what? I’m cool with that.

edentocca

One of my favorite fragrances is Tocca’s Florence. Not sure which scent fits you? Try this rollerball fragrance collection.

fullsizerenderAfter hearing about this brand from a few fellow moms, I’m kicking myself for not having one of these gowns for those early postpartum months. It is buttery soft and I can’t wait to wear it around the house and tie it up in the front for running errands.

efnecklaces

I found the silver F initial necklace from local shop, Accents+Interiors, and love how it pairs with my gold E (love this cool gothic style version) that I purchased from the same store after Ev was born. Side note: Kind of funny that my boys first initials say ‘EF’, as in, “how in the EF am I ever going to keep the house clean with two boys?!”

redmeronaheels

You already know how I feel about these red beauts! Can’t wait to wear them when it warms up later this week.

All in all, I feel very loved. Even though there is a bit of the seasonal crud hanging around our house right now, I have the best little valentines and am showered with love, slobber and snot. What more could you ask for?!

TTD DIY: last-minute Valentine

There should be no shame in your last-minute game. So I’ve decided to create a FREE printable for tying on to some Valentine’s Day donuts. This would be a perfect idea for teachers, co-workers and even kids.

DonutGiftTags.jpg

I love that you can print the PDF and use which size works for your pack of donuts. The larger format for a box of dozen from your local donut shop or grocery store bakery.

donutbigbox

The smaller format for a bag or pack of minis from the local grocery store or gas station.

donutminis

I also think you could attach these tags to some cute donut-themed gear like a fun iPhone case, comfy jammies, a snarky tee or an inflatable pool floatie. Any of these would definitely make a memorable gift -Valentine’s Day or not!

Hope you donut forget to use these as a back-up this Valentine’s Day!
