Floral and Fauna Update: TGIF! Well, actually as I write this update Friday is almost over. And thank goodness for that! This day started off rushed because I stayed up past my bedtime last night, and I had to get up early to make sure I had time to fill my car with gas before going to work. I knew I should’ve done it last night, but didn’t get around to it. A “to do” that didn’t quite get done.
The meeting with the florists over lunch went well. It can sometimes be overwhelming when there are so many choices when it comes to flowers. All while keeping in mind that your total floral budget shouldn’t exceed a down payment on a house! My dad has been very good with everything so far, but I, myself, am even nervous to find out what the estimate will be for reception flowers. And if I am already worried, we are definitely going to see a ‘George Banks’ from Father of the Bride reaction from him.
Do you sometimes feel like your head is going to explode from all the things on your to do list? It’s okay, I can totally relate…especially recently. With the upcoming holidays and next year’s nuptials my list has gone from ‘manageable’ to ‘good luck getting these things done before 2012’. Now, if you were to spend at least 10 minutes with my dad, Fredd (Double-D) Haas (Double-A), you would be informed that the best way to combat stress, caused by your long list of to dos, is to workout regularly.
Well Freddie, I have some bad news. My stress level is increasing and my trips to Gold’s Gym are decreasing. It’s not that I don’t think about going to the gym daily, it’s just that I never act on those thoughts. Frustrating, I know! Well, that is until now. I need to get back on track and it is all going to start with the 8am Pilates class tomorrow morning. I’m pretty sure my mat mates think that I have either died or switched gyms because I haven’t been to the class since before my birthday at the end of October. Yikes!
Want to try pilates, but not sure how to? Here is a great intro to the fitness craze from Fitness Magazine. The Complete Workout – Fitness Magazine
