During our recent trip to China (a full review of that trip is coming soon, I swear!) we relied heavily on our JetKids BedBoxes, but this Mountain Buggy Bagrider looks pretty amazing too!

I tend to be a traditionalist when it comes to my holiday music, but this year I’m trying to branch out and I have been listening to Sia’s holiday album this week. Definitely different since it is all original songs, but sometimes it’s nice to switch things up.

Speaking of music, if you are a Spotify user you can head to this website to get your full rundown of tunes you streamed in 2017. Let’s just say mine was a healthy mixture of Bruno Mars and Mumford & Sons with a light dusting of Ludacris. You know, for good measure.

One of my favorite traditions this time of year is taking in The Nutcracker at Hoyt Sherman. Ballet Des Moines puts on a great show, mostly because they cast my nieces each year! I always like to bring them a little something to enjoy after their performance and try to keep it on pointe (see what I did there?!) Here is what is on my short list for this year’s gifts: a story orchestra book, Hearth & Hand’s simplistic version, a tasty treat, party poppers and a unique ornament.

While we were in Beijing, I managed to find some time to pop into a Uniqlo to do some light shopping. I find a major score in this velour top that I think will be perfect for the holidays when paired with pants or a skirts.

Ever since getting back stateside I can’t stop thinking about the food we experienced in China, especially the xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung. The carefully crafted morsels of deliciousness are the things dreams are made of. What are the odds that my foodie husband can recreate these for me at home?!

Hung by the chimney with care

I have to admit, I’m guilty of putting up our stockings before we left for our trip to China. I just couldn’t wait any longer.

Christmas stockings are one of my most favorite decor pieces during the holiday season. They are so personable and I love how you can find pretty much anything and everything you could want emblazoned on one.
