We are well into the season now, but temps are just really starting to drop and it’s time to bust out the fall jackets and pants for the boys. I thought it might be nice to do a little round-up of some of the items we are reaching for during these early autumn days.

BW[my babies]

Can’t stop, won’t stop. Buying Christmas items ahead of the season that is. I snagged this darling pillow at Wal-Mart last weekend and can’t wait to use it in our guest bedroom. Or, how cute would it be with this throw on a chair?

I have pumpkin goodies on the brain and can’t wait to make these muffins from Our Faux Farmhouse.

Let’s keep the pumpkin spice goodness going. I used one of these Trader Joe’s face masks earlier this week and it was bliss. Self care FTW!

I’m completely jumping the gun here, but I snagged some early holiday items (flocked trees + black/white sign) that hit Wal-Mart shelves this week. Whoops…

I have shared this dress before, but with the temperature dip this week I was finally able to bust it out. I absolutely love it! Perfect for work and transitions to a cute date night look.

I am looking forward to “returning” to Downton Abbey this weekend at the theater. If you were an avid fan, Masterpiece has put together a little list of things to brush up on before your viewing.

The Halloween book shelf got a few additions this year and our top three are: Pick a Pumpkin, The Cat at Night and The Haunted Ghoul Bus.

Last weekend I spent my Sunday baking up a storm. One of the recipes that I stumbled upon was this ultimate zucchini bread recipe from Smitten Kitchen. It turned out so great that I’m now going around asking people if they have extra zucchinis they’d like to get rid of!

I’m on the hunt for a new pair of black suede booties. My old Sam Edelman pair has finally bit the dust and I’m a little sad about it. Currently have these in the cart: BP Heath, Splendid Henley, Cole Haan Harrington. Thoughts?

I’ve got all things pumpkin on the brain and Trader Joe’s just released all of their seasonal goodies. Check out their full line-up here!

One of my favorite fall activities is taking the boys to the Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad for a Day Out with Thomas. The friendly blue tank engine will once again make his way to the station two weekends in a row (September 14, 15, 20, 21, and 22). I hope to see you there!

I couldn’t wait any longer and decided to put up our fall/Halloween decor this week. The boys love it all just as much as me! One of my favorite new things (that I bought at the end of last year), is this darling doormat. In the mood for a little DIY, try this one out!

My sister and I took a quick mid-week trip to Kansas City to see Kacey Musgraves in concert (amazing) and managed to do a little shopping as well! I snagged so many cute things, but the first thing I busted out (and am wearing today) is a scrunchie hair tie from H&M.
