Our halls are decked and one of my absolute favorite additions this year is this wireless remote control electrical outlet switch for our indoor Christmas lights. “Number 664 will be going on right about… now.”

I love snagging delicious cheese to go from The Cheese Shop in Des Moines, and I made a beeline into the store on a recent Thursday to grab one of the best I’ve ever had, the elusive Black Betty. It only comes out around this time of year, and when it’s gone, it’s gone.

I stumbled upon this photo exhibit in an old magazine I finally sat down with this week. It served as a reminder of how quickly time goes by and to remember to cherish the little things.
