I must have lived in the south in a former life, because I sure do love a good monogrammed item. Like my homegirl Reese Witherspoon said, “My rule is, if it’s not moving — monogram it!”
When I’m not wearing my New York Yankees hat or reppin’ my squad with my red B hat, you can find me in my newly completed pink monogram baseball hat.
I have always loved the worn-in and embroidered look of Harding-Lane hats, so when I saw this Faded Glory hat at Wal-Mart recently, I knew I could make it my own with a few stitches.
To start I created a mock-up monogram online and printed it out in various sizes so that I could place it and see which one I liked best for the space.
Once I had the placement correct, I took it off and free-handed it using this water soluble transfer pen.
I gave Marcus two thread colors to choose from (navy and teal) and this is what we ended up with!
I absolutely love how this turned out and I can’t wait to make a few more for family and friends. They make the perfect gift!
