**G I V E A W A Y // C L O S E D**
Congratulations!
The winner of the custom silhouette giveaway is Jami DeVries.
I’ve always been fascinated with silhouettes, but it wasn’t until I had children of my own that I realized just how sweet they could be. Deep with their own history, silhouettes first appeared in the 17th century as a cheap, quick way of capturing likenesses.
As Fitzgerald nears the one year mark, I have moments where I literally feel like time is slipping through my fingers. Creating silhouettes for the boys at this stage in their lives I guess is just my attempt at making time stand still.
I started with two photos of the boys that were shot from a side angle. Actually, finding these for each of them was pretty easy considering they don’t stop very often to pose for a photo straight on.
After editing the photos, I followed these Illustrator directions (you can also use Photoshop or just hand-trace) to complete the project.
I decided to add their first and middle names underneath each of their silhouettes, but you could also add the date or age.
I’m so incredibly happy with how this project turned out and I can’t wait to find the perfect place to hang them at the log home.
