I’ll start off with this. How in the hell does anyone ever get anywhere on time with kids?

It was my first week back in the office and I didn’t even come close to arriving on time each day. In the past I’ve prided myself on my punctuality, but after the addition of Fitz, I think I’ll just resign to the fact that we’ll always be about 15+ minutes late everywhere. I’ll go ahead and blame it on our commute into town, but it’s really because Ev wants to watch one more garbage truck video or “needs” Fruit Loops or Fitz just crapped his pants for the millionth time.

All joking and timeliness aside, having a second child has multiplied everything. More diapers, more mess, more needs to be met by this momma. But you know what? It also means more wet kisses, more cozy cuddles, more quiet moments of understanding that I am doing exactly what I was put on this earth to do – love them.

I can’t even begin to count the amount of times since Fitz joined our family where I’ve experienced the whole Grinch-like feeling of my heart growing three sizes. It happens daily with my boys. And for that I am eternally grateful.
