Never judge a book by it’s cover – or do Update: Oh sweet Nook, why do you make it so hard to pick out an “outfit” for you. I agonized over which cover I should dress up my new little gadget with and have finally made my decision. I am going with the Bella cover from Barnes & Noble. After giving it one last once-over, I noticed that on the inside flap of the cover it says “Read in style” in gold foil letters – I will do just that!
Bowl season is upon us, and for college football fans there is nothing better…especially if your team is in one. Now, a couple of years ago I could have cared less about something so menial, but since meeting Marcus I have been converted into an Iowa Hawkeye football fan. I tried hard to deny it in the beginning, but after my first trip to Kinnick Stadium to watch the epic 2008 Penn State game I was hooked. There was a lot of hype this season, to which the team did not exactly live up to. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t bowl bound. Nope, the Hawks will take on another black and gold team, the Missouri Tigers, tomorrow night in Tempe, Arizona for the Insight Bowl.
There are many ways to show your team spirit, but my favorite is to do it through your gameday attire. That doesn’t mean their mascot has to be plastered across your chest, but maybe take a different route and wear their team colors. I love Iowa Hawkeye gold – it’s a deep and vibrant gold and will help you stand out in the crowd.
Here are a few Hawkeye approved items that would be perfect to tailgate in:
“Until the walls and rafters ring (Go Hawks!)”
