Oh. Em. Gee! Target just announced that it will be celebrating 20 years of collaborations with an epic reboot of 20 past designers! Who are you excited to see again?

I just finally got these Golden Goose dupe sneakers from Vici Collection in the mail and I love them! You will see me in these pretty much every weekend from here on out.

I am jumping ahead quite a bit and am thinking about all things FALL. How about you?! On my list of things to purchase: this welcome doormat and wooden pumpkins.

CampDodge [this crew loved a visit to the tanks at Camp Dodge]

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the new cast of Netflix’s The Crown! And one of the actors let it slip that new episodes will be released in November. Add that to the September release of the Downton Abbey movie, and my period-piece lovin’ heart might just explode!

I didn’t go crazy during Amazon Prime Day, but I did pull the trigger on finally getting a pair of blue light blocking glasses for use at the office.

Local and looking for something fun to do with the kiddos next week? Then head to Court Avenue on Thursday when Union Pacific brings Big Boy to town in commemoration of the transcontinental railroad’s 150th anniversary.

TTD travels: Washington, D.C.

Last week, Everett and I had the chance to visit our nation’s capitol on behalf of Prevent Blindness Iowa. This year, Everett is serving as the Youth Ambassador, and as such, has been advocating for the organization. This trip coincided with Prevent Blindness’s national summit on vision and eye health, and was definitely a great experience for both of us!

As a kid I loved painting and was mesmerized by Bob Ross. He made painting look so easy! I came across this video by the New York Times and am truly fascinated.

Such a random mix of faves today 🙂 Hope you all have a great weekend – it’s gonna be a hot one here in central Iowa so I think a trip to the pool is in our near future!

I’m always on the lookout for cool stamps and I love these just released featuring Ellsworth Kelly’s art.

A few years ago, Marcus and I got sucked into the first (and only) season of a show called Pan Am. The costumes and sets were insane. If that is your bag, then you might like the new remodeled JFK’s TWA Flight Center Hotel, set inside Saarinen’s iconic midcentury terminal. Swoon.

I was home with the boys earlier this week coming off of a weekend at the lake and no fresh groceries in sight when I remember my sister left this bag of Trader Joe’s riced cauliflower stir fry in the freezer. Holy moly, I’m obsessed. I tossed it in a pan on the stove and also threw in some frozen meatballs. Add a little feta and sriracha ranch, and you are set!
