Map it out update: I really dropped the ball on this one. Marcus and I sat down to finish watching Mildred Pierce and I must admit, I’m just not in the mood to work on the map tonight. I hardly put things off, but tonight I’m making an exception.

If you haven’t already, I encourage you to check out the five-part remake of the 1945 movie with the same name featuring Joan Crawford. I’m a big fan of HBO miniseries, and enjoyed this peek into a Depression-era family that has been torn apart and remained that way.

I’m pretty sure Kate Winslet will win an Emmy for her portrayal of Mildred Pierce, but my favorite part was checking out all the outfits the women wore. Here is a great little write-up from Harper’s Bazaar about the costume designer for the show, Ann Roth.

Tomorrow I will try to get back on task with the wedding reception parking maps. As you can see from above, I have good reason for getting consumed with Mildred (Winslet) and Veda (Evan Rachel Wood).
